Juliette Balconies (also known as Juliet Balconies), are faux balconies that provide a guard rail but no walk-on facility.  They are not only functional but also provide decorative interest across a French window or door of an upper floor.

Balustrades, decorative railing mounted across the front of a balcony or gallery, provide a walk on space.  As with Juliette balconies, they can be as ornate or as simple as you wish.

All made to order, ours comply with Building Regulations which stipulate they must be a minimum height of 1100 millimetres.
